About Me!
I am an tenure-track Assistant Professor of Finance at the Trinity Business School, Trinity College Dublin and a Research Affiliate at the Central Bank of Ireland. I am also the Programme Director for MSc. in Financial Risk Management at TBS.
My research primarily lies at the intersection of macroeconomics and finance as I am particularly interested in the dynamics of monetary policy, banking, and corporate decision-making in a changing financial landscape.
I hold a PhD in Financial Economics from University College Dublin and an MSc in Economics from Trinity College Dublin. I completed my undergraduate degree in B.A.(Honours) Economics from Delhi University, India.
My academic work combines rigorous empirical methods with real-world policy relevance. My recent research evaluates the impact of unconventional monetary policy on firm-level investment, bank lending behaviour, and asset prices using high-frequency and granular datasets. I am passionate about bridging the gap between theory and practice, often engaging with stakeholders in central banks, the financial industry, and academia through conferences, guest lectures, and policy consultations.

Student Testimonials.
Insights from the classroom, through the eyes of my students:

“Working on my master’s dissertation in finance was both exciting and overwhelming at times, especially with my limited background in econometrics. Supriya’s guidance made all the difference, she patiently explained technical concepts, helped me frame my hypotheses, and choose the right models with clarity and care. Her regular, constructive feedback and approachable style gave me the confidence to tackle areas I was unsure about. Thanks to her support, I not only completed my dissertation successfully but also developed a deeper understanding of research and analysis in finance.I’m really grateful to have had Supriya as my supervisor, she made the entire process so much more manageable and meaningful.”
DAKSH VARYANI, MSc Finance

“Supriya is a passionate and knowledgeable professor who brings a deep understanding of her field to all lectures. Her teaching is marked by a high standard, supported by well-prepared lectures, insightful in-class presentations, and the inclusion of guest speakers who enrich the learning experience. The module she led was one of the most engaging and informative I encountered during my undergraduate studies, and much of that is owed to her dynamic and thoughtful approach as a lecturer. “
SENAN DELARGY, GLOBAL BUSINESS

“Undertaking Dr. Kapoor’s class has left an undelible mark in my academic and personal journey at Trinity College Dublin. I have witnessed her commitment to academic excellence first-hand while she taught me Introduction to Finance & Financial Markets. Her conceptual clarity and teaching style instills a strong sense of confidence in her students. On a personal front, I consider Dr. Kapoor not only a gifted educator but also a mentor whose guidance have been deeply valuable to me both inside and outside the classroom.”
